Touch eternal snow at 3,028 m on Mt. Titlis and walk through the heart of a glacier
- Dare the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe's highest suspension bridge and walk inside a glacier through the glowing ice tunnels of the Glacier Cave
- See Lucerne's Chapel Bridge and wander the Old Town's winding alleys
Trade the city for a world of eternal snow on this Mt. Titlis day trip from Zurich. At 3,028 metres, cross Europe's highest suspension bridge, step inside a glacier and whizz down the snow on a tube, with every cable car ticket included and no trains or timetables to work out.
Meet your guide at the Sihlquai coach park, a short walk from Zurich main station, and settle into a comfortable air-conditioned seat for the departure.
Sit back as the coach rolls through splendid Swiss countryside and along the shores of Lake Lucerne, with your guide sharing stories along the way.
Your guide shows you Lucerne's main sights on a short orientation drive past the Chapel Bridge, the Town Hall, the Jesuit Church and the Culture and Convention Centre (KKL). Then the town is yours: grab a bite to eat, browse local shops for traditional Swiss souvenirs or wander the winding alleys of the enchanting Old Town
Leave Lucerne behind for the mountain village of Engelberg at the foot of Mt. Titlis, where your journey into the high Alps begins.
Board the Titlis Xpress cable car from Engelberg, then change to the revolving Rotair, which turns as it climbs so you see the glacier's deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders from every angle.
Step out at 3,028 metres into a high Alpine world of snow and ice, waiting for you all year round. Pick your favorites from the activities open on the day (weather permitting):
Panoramic terrace, the Swiss Alps at your feet: take in a magnificent view across the snowy peaks.
Glacier Cave, a walk inside the ice: step into tunnels surrounded by thick layers of eternal ice.
Cliff Walk, the thrill of the day: overcome your vertigo and cross Europe's highest suspension bridge.
Ice Flyer and Glacier Park, snow fun for all ages: ride the chairlift close over the crevasses down to the Glacier Park and whizz down a prepared slope on a snow tube (weather and snow permitting).
Ride the cable car down to the Trübsee middle station, beside its Alpine lake. Descend by cable car to Engelberg, where your coach is waiting and see the turquoise alpine lake surrounded by green meadows and chalets on the way. Refuel with a typical Swiss meal at the restaurant (at your own expense).
Relax on the coach as you head back via Lucerne, swapping snow-day photos with your fellow travellers. The tour ends at the meeting point in Zurich in the evening.
